Typical Session

Reflexology is a non-invasive, complementary, holistic therapy. You need only to remove your shoes and socks, and in addition to helping alleviate the symptoms of ill health we try and focus on the root cause and help to address underlying problems.

The initial appointment will last for 1 1/2 hours. I will take a detailed medical and lifestyle history and discuss what you are wishing to achieve with your treatment. This will be followed by a treatment, you will be seated in a reclining chair which enables your feet to be comfortably accessed. As a Reflexologist, through working reflexes on the feet, by applying pressure to your feet, using my hands and implementing different techniques, my aim is to stimulate the organs, glands and circulation in the body to bring about a healthy balance. I will also explain some of the reactions you might experience following a treatment.

Follow up treatments will last 1 hour. We will discuss any changes, and treatment will be given, to continue working towards the client's improved health.

Hot Stone Reflexology

Hot stones are introduced to the client and used during the treatment. After some short relaxation techniques, both feet are wrapped with a large hot stone under the arch of the foot and small toe stones placed between the toes, whilst the legs are gently massaged to enhance relaxation. Throughout the session hot stones are used to work some of the reflex points helping to relax the muscles and soft tissue giving deeper working and enhancing the reflexology treatment.
